When exploring veneer options for our next collection, we were drawn to Quartered Figured Walnut which caught our imagination with its’ fiery light reflected in the cross-grain.  It is both rugged and refined and reminded us of the Sierra Mountains.  Thus, the Sierra Collection took root.
Our first piece was the Sierra Round Dining Table.  The Quartered Figured Walnut on the table top is perfectly showcased in a intricate radial pattern, water-falling down the apron and accented with a wooden bead. The finish, a rich Truffle, highlighted the walnuts natural warmth and ruggedness. The graceful curves of the table base are simple, yet elegant, with a simple brass accent.

The Sierra Rectangle Dining Table features the same Quartered Figured Walnut veneers atop two graceful pedestals with simple brass accents at the center.

The sideboard pairs with both tables.  In an effort to display the fire and light of the veneer, we chose a diamond pattern for the veneer on the sideboard doors and top.  The warmth of the Quartered Figured Walnut catches the eye from every direction.  It’s as if Nature is talking to you.

When it came time to design the hardware, we saw a picture of the distinctive twist of the Mobius Arch with the Sierra’s in the background and decided to reflect nature’s design in the design of our solid brass hardware to showcase the doors.

The veneers and features flowed through in our Sierra Bedroom group capturing the fiery light of the Quartered Figured Walnut, the warmth of the Truffle finish, and accented with the subtle, understated, elegant brass hardware
